A Key to Getting Unstuck

You know that feeling you get when you ignore what you know you need to be doing and then someone points it out to you? Ya, that just happened to me. Yesterday I read John Stepper’s thoughts on the phrase: “Be the author of your own life.”

What hit me hard was his reminder that:

Crafting a life is not something you say or wish. It’s something you work on every day. Start now.

It’s been over a year that I have been stuck professionally, trying various things to get reengaged and answer that dreaded question of what’s next for me?

Seeing John’s post reminded me that I don’t actually need to know. That there is not one magic bullet to get me unstuck.

I just need to answer the question I posed when I shared his post.

What will you do today to craft your life and create the changes you wish to see?

Yesterday it was to slowly reengage with my network by sharing an article. Today it’s posting on my blog for the first time in 7 months. Can’t wait to see what inspiration strikes tomorrow.

Thank you John for helping me see that this one question can help break me free from the one thing keeping me stuck – Me.
